Here we go! This is my first shot at writing a blog post. I’m hoping this can become a spot to share some random thoughts and occasional musings. Who knows—maybe it’ll be therapeutic! Or maybe it’ll be annoying? Let’s find out. Buckle up, everyone!
My output on new art pieces has slowed down over the past year. Balancing a full-time job with the usual day-to-day stresses makes it challenging to keep up a steady pace. Creative energy isn’t limitless, and devoting part of it to paid work often leaves less time for personal projects. Still, I always feel a drive to create, so there will be new work coming—just at a bit of a slower pace.
That said, I recently completed a new print, and while it took longer than usual due to other time commitments, I’m thrilled with the result. “Call the Office” in London, Ontario, has a special place in many hearts—it’s where a lot of us saw our first live show. Since it closed down, it’s been missed, and I thought it was a great subject for something unique. Customers can personalize the marquee with their own name or their band name! It’s a fun way to remember an iconic place and give folks a chance to see their name in lights.
And that’s a wrap on post one! Not too bad. Until next time!
