ABOUT THE DESIGN:
New York City, New York USA - This illustration is THE NEW YORKER HOTEL. This Art Deco gem originally opened in 1930 in Manhattan's Garment District. It is a beautiful bold looking building consisting of alternating vertical bands of warm gray brick and windows with deep-cut light courts. Perched on the top is the notable marquee that makes it fav for film productions shot in NY. The design plays up the boldness of the building by giving it an imposing angle and a frame that can't contain the entire building. One of the many amazing buildings in a city full of amazing buildings.
