ABOUT THE DESIGN:
London, Ontario Canada - Call The Office. This art print captures the gritty and intimate vibe of Call the Office, the legendary music club on York Street in London. Once the epicenter of live music in the late '80s and early '90s, this beautifully dingy venue became a breeding ground for greatness. Call the Office was the go-to spot for discovering up-and-coming bands that would later dominate the music scene, including The Tragically Hip, Tea Party, Blink-182, Queens of the Stone Age, and Radiohead.
In this design, I aimed to encapsulate the electric energy of the night scene that made this venue a musical lightning rod. The rock gods had a special place in their hearts for this unassuming club, where even Radiohead played for just $10 in 1995. The piece features ghostly patrons waiting outside, graffiti art paying homage to the bands that achieved incredible success, and a nod to the cultural significance of this iconic music venue. Celebrate the legacy of Call the Office and the mark it left on the music world.
